The Blair Partnership is a literary and entertainment agency. We offer our clients a broad range of services including rights management, client representation and franchise management. As part of those services, we help to manage several companies on behalf of our client J.K. Rowling. Those companies are Pottermore and Bronte. These businesses benefit from shared resources and expertise provided by The Blair Partnership, but they are run by their own leaders.

Overall purpose of the role

Legal Executive Assistant  to assist the Group General Counsel with all diary and administrative duties, maintaining a high standard of legal and office support across the Legal and Business Affairs team (team of 6). The role will also work closely other Executive Assistants, the Office and Facilities Manager and interact regularly with all departments in the business, therefore building relationships and partnerships is key.


What you'll be doing

  • Diary and inbox management, meeting organisation, projects and general administration for the Group General Counsel
  • Supporting the Legal and Business Affairs team with ad-hoc meetings and office support including meeting room bookings, document formatting and general administration
  • Arranging signatures of agreements / documents by clients and external partners, including the administration of the team DocuSign account
  • Contract and document management –filing and properly maintaining agreements, correspondence and working files across SharePoint and in-house systems, securely sharing with external partners and clients when necessary
  • General administration - Typing letters and agreements, arrange outgoing post and monitoring any departmental post that comes into the office
  • Managing and overseeing team systems and processes, including legal team shared calendars and inboxes, project trackers and collating agendas and documents for team meetings
  • Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and practising discretion at all times
  • Any other ad-hoc office and administration tasks as required


What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as an executive assistant in a  legal team
  • Experience within the media / entertainment industry desirable
  • Excellent IT skills across Microsoft packages with a logical approach to system usage
  • Experience working across highly sensitive and confidential projects
  • Excellent organisation and administration skills with accurate typing and a high level of attention to detail
  • Has excellent timekeeping and prioritises work effectively on team and individual projects
  • Flexible, reliable, co-operative  with a professional approach to work
  • Able to adapt to various work situations both within the team and across the company, working as a positive, friendly and helpful team player
  • Interacts in good faith and demonstrates effective listening and problem-solving skills
  • Confident and self-motivated
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, supportive and able to suggest solutions for improved team working
